Kevin M. Gamett, MD
Meet Dr. Kevin M. Gamett, your friendly neighborhood glaucoma surgeon. He's all about bringing a gentle touch to his expertise in glaucoma care, specializing in minimally invasive procedures, laser therapies, and glaucoma shunts – making a big impact with a soft approach.

Dr. Gamett is also your go-to doctor for advanced cataract surgery and handling issues related to the anterior segment. A true Nevadan, he started his journey at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, earning the impressive Alpha Omega Alpha honors along the way. Taking his skills to the next level, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, even shining as chief resident. Dr. Gamett's quest for knowledge then led him to the University of Colorado for a fellowship focused on medical and surgical glaucoma treatments.

Dr. Gamett has been married for over 20 years and is the proud father of 6. He enjoys hiking, soccer, and enjoying all that Northern Nevada has to offer.

Taylor Gemperline, MD
Dr. Gemperline is thrilled to return to the desert mountains of the Great Basin to serve the Reno community through his work at Silver State Ophthalmology. Committed to providing exceptional care, he brings a deep passion for comprehensive eye health and long-term patient relationships.

He specializes in restoring vision through cataract surgery and has a particular interest in treating glaucoma using minimally invasive surgical techniques. A dedicated researcher, Dr. Gemperline has presented and published nationally as a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

Dr. Gemperline earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Utah and his medical degree from Saint Louis University, where he also completed his Internal Medicine internship. He then completed his Ophthalmology residency at the University of Virginia, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.

Outside of the office you can find him spending time with his wife and two young children, as they explore the Sierra Nevada's through running, biking, skiing, and rock climbing. Vanessa Campos, Office Manager
Vanessa's roots are firmly planted in Reno, with a brief interlude in Northern California. She shares her life with a wonderful husband and two beautiful children, cherishing their time together with family, camping, and outdoor adventures. Each season brings new opportunities for sports and outdoor activities that they all enjoy. Vanessa has honed her skills in Ophthalmology over a 17-year career and eagerly anticipates the exciting growth opportunities ahead with Silver State Ophthalmology.
